Is there anything better than a large portion of your favorite pasta to relax after a day of work with dear colleagues?

“Pasta con Amore” was the motto of media plan on wednesday night. “Our professional chef” Mareike showed us what we need for “Pasta con Amore” and how to prepared it. While cooking together, we had the chance to chat about various things and improve our cooking skills thanks to Mareike. We laughed a lot and enjoyed the freshly prepared food together. Especially in the current situation, the joint activity was particularly fun and important. Everyone was able to participate from home and we created a “team spirit” despite the distance.
To re-cook at home you can find the ingredient list and recipe for our “Pasta con Amore” below:

– 125g spaghetti per person
– 2 spring onions
– 3-4 dried tomatoes
– Oil-dried chilli flakes
– 1 clove of garlic
– 1/2can brown lentils (approx.200g)
– 50ml white wine (optional)
– 100ml vegetable broth or beef broth 150 ml cream or cream substitute
And don´t forget: salt, pepper, parmesan & olive oil after your taste.

Boil salted water in a large saucepan and cook the pasta according to the instructions. Meanwhile clean the spring onion and cut into rings. Peel the garlic and chop it up. Cut the dried tomatoes into small pieces. Bring oil to medium heat in a pan and sauté the spring onions together with garlic. Then add chilli flakes and dried tomatoes. Continue to fry for about 2min. Then deglaze with a shot of white wine.
Add the broth and bring to a boil. Then add the cream and let it simmer for another 5min.
Drain the lentils and add it to the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
Collect a little pasta water, add the pasta to the sauce, mix it and add the pasta water. Mix everything through again and serve it on plates.

Whether meat eater, veggie or vegan, the recipe can be customized to your taste. With the virtual cooking session, we have created another shared experience in the home office. We are already looking forward to our next event and would like to take this opportunity to thank Mareike again for the great and delicious evening.
